Seed Applied Technology

Scope

Within the scope of the Seed Science Foundation, the research area will address seed and plant science challenges and encourage plant breeding education and seed research in support the evolving needs of the global seed industry. The SSF will provide insights and recommend solutions that  enable the US Seed Industry to function with global effectiveness.

Priorities

1. Assess and addresses the current or potential limitations of different seed treatments; including seed treatment and formulations, application methodologies, and equipment.
2. Future of Seed Treatment Formulation development that can be developed to improve efficacy  with increased timing of protection while limiting environmental impacts.
3. Focuses on the interaction between the seed treatment and seed genetics with the goal of  making seed treatment a complementary offer to enhance genetics.
